ICX Switch Behavior with SmartZone

When an ICX switch is managed by SmartZone, the following behaviors apply:

  • All local configuration methods continue to be available to the local administrator, which means the switch can be configured through the console, Telnet, SSH, SNMP, and the web.
  • It is recommended that the switch be configured with the same NTP server as SmartZone.
  • In an ICX stack, if a stack switchover or failover occurs, the original connection to SmartZone is closed, and the new active unit initiates a connection with SmartZone.
