Configuring a vendor type and configuration value for a DHCP client

You can specify the vendor type and configuration value for the DHCP client. The value can be represented in ASCII characters, a hexadecimal string, or an IP address.

1. Enter global configuration mode by issuing the configure terminal command.

   device# configure terminal

2. Create and enter DHCP server pool configuration mode.

   device(config)# ip dhcp-server pool cabo

3. Specify the vendor type and configuration value for the DHCP client.

   device(config-dhcp-cabo)# vendor class ascii waikiki
